When we talk about End-User Computing (EUC), most conversations revolve around devices, virtualization platforms, and cost savings. But there’s one area that often defines the success of it all: how people log in. If authentication is clunky, slow, or outdated, productivity suffers, and IT is left cleaning up the mess.

That’s why our recent visit to AuthX Headquarters was so eye-opening. AuthX and their team is taking a fresh approach to Identity and Access Management, and it’s one that puts both the employee and the IT department at the center.

First Impressions: Built Around Trust and Simplicity

From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that AuthX isn’t just another security company. The energy in the room reflected a mission: to make secure access something that feels natural, not forced.

We spoke about the challenges enterprises face every day – remote work, compliance, and the growing number of apps employees rely on. Too often, traditional systems add more complexity instead of solving it. AuthX is moving in the opposite direction, focusing on speed, simplicity, and flexibility without sacrificing control.

Moving Beyond Legacy Thinking

For years, enterprises have relied on legacy authentication methods that force trade-offs. Users deal with multiple logins and long password resets, while IT is buried under infrastructure maintenance and endless policy updates. It’s expensive, it’s rigid, and it doesn’t match the way we work today.

AuthX has broken away from that model. Their platform is cloud-native, which means IT teams no longer need to manage heavy servers or wait months for upgrades. Everything is delivered centrally, updated automatically, and scaled instantly. That shift translates to a better balance: employees get the ease they want, while IT gets the control and compliance they need.

The Technology in Action

The highlight of our visit was watching the AuthX Badge Tap-and-Go demo.

With a simple tap, a user could move from one workstation to another in seconds. No long passwords, no repeated steps—just fast, secure access. Whether it was a biometric scan, a token, or a smart card, the system adapted without breaking stride.

It was a powerful reminder that the best technology doesn’t call attention to itself. It just works, quietly and reliably, so people can focus on the job in front of them.

A Conversation on the Future of Identity

We also had the chance to sit down with Jeremy Hummer, VP of Business Development at AuthX, who joined our CEO, Omar Kechrid, for a candid conversation.

Jeremy spoke about AuthX’s journey, why simplifying access is at the heart of their vision, and how they see identity evolving in the years ahead.

One point stood out: Authentication should adapt to the user, not the other way around. That philosophy is exactly why their platform resonates so strongly with organizations running Citrix, Omnissa Horizon, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

Building the Best Experience Together

For us at TCD, the visit confirmed something we’ve believed for a long time: the endpoint is only part of the story. The way people access those endpoints matters just as much.

By working with AuthX, we’re combining strengths. Our thin clients are designed for performance and flexibility, while their authentication platform ensures access is simple for users and approved by IT. Together, we’re creating an experience where logging in feels effortless, security is built in, and IT teams no longer have to sacrifice ease for control.

Why This Matters Now!

Workplaces have changed. Employees are mobile, apps are in the cloud, and IT teams are expected to do more with less. Sticking with old systems only slows everyone down. The future belongs to solutions that remove friction for users while giving IT the confidence that compliance and security are always covered.

That’s exactly what we saw at AuthX HQ: a platform designed for the way people actually work today, not the way they worked ten years ago.

Looking Ahead

Our time at AuthX HQ left us excited about the road ahead. Together, AuthX and ThinClient Direct are building digital workplaces where security isn’t a barrier but a silent enabler of productivity.

We’d like to thank the AuthX team for opening their doors and sharing their vision. At TCD, we’ll continue to partner with innovators like AuthX to bring our customers solutions that cut costs, improve security, and make EUC environments easier to manage.
